"SILENCE (VIP MIX)" was born from my desire to create another color house track, heavily influenced by artists like Mo Falk and RetroVision. This version is a VIP (Variation in Production) mix of my original song "Silence." I wanted to experiment with a more color bass-influenced style and see how the track would evolve with this new direction.

The lyrics of "SILENCE (VIP MIX)" deal with the feelings of abandonment and longing when someone you rely on leaves you. It's about the struggle of being unheard and the emotional impact of silence in a relationship. The lyrics capture the pain of realizing someone you love is no longer there for you and the frustration of being ignored.

This track marked one of the first times I used a convolution reverb with a guitar strum or chord synth stack as the impulse, which added a unique texture to the sound. I also improved my understanding of vocoding and resonation during this production, which led me to create a DAW template with my essential plugins and presets. This template now guides my future productions, ensuring I have a consistent and polished workflow.

This visual concept aligns with the energetic and futuristic feel of the VIP mix, and the couple facing away reflects the themes of the lyrics.

"SILENCE (VIP MIX)" was self-released, and while I wasn't entirely proud of the first drop, the track received positive feedback. Notably, Mo Falk acknowledged my track, saying he found it unique and liked it, which was a significant boost to my confidence. Creating a VIP mix of my own song meant the process was relatively straightforward. I didn't face significant challenges since it was essentially a remix of "Silence," allowing me to focus on enhancing and transforming the original elements into something fresh and exciting.

I enjoyed experimenting with new production techniques and pushing the boundaries of my sound. However, I felt that I could have put more thought into the first drop and sought feedback from others to improve the track further. Despite this, the positive reception from an artist I admire was incredibly rewarding.
